Yanang leaves, or Tiliacora triandra, are a species of flowering plant native to Southeast Asia, particularly used in the cuisines of Northeast Thailand and Laos. They are known for their aromatic and slightly sweet flavor, often described as reminiscent of pandan. These leaves are frequently used in the form of an extract to thicken soups, add flavour to dishes, and create refreshing drinks.
It is more popular in Southeast Asian countries by its Vietnamese name, ‘Nuoc Suong Sam’.
