Dal mix, also known as mixed dal or mixed lentils, refers to a combination of different types of lentils or pulses. It is a versatile blend that combines the flavours, textures, and nutritional benefits of various lentils.
Dal mixes are used in a wide range of Indian dishes, particularly in dal preparations. They are often used to make comforting lentil soups, stews, or curries. The combination of different lentils adds complexity to the flavour and texture of the dish. Additionally, dal mixes are nutritious as they provide a good balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and dietary fiber.
