What is Sate Sauce?
Sate sauce, also known as satay sauce, peanut sauce, bomb kacang, samba kacang or pecel, is a delicious and versatile condiment that originates from Southeast Asia. It is commonly made from ground peanuts, spices, and various seasonings, creating a rich, nutty flavor that enhances a wide range of dishes.
History and Origins
Sate sauce has deep roots in Indonesian cuisine, where it is traditionally served with grilled meats. Over the years, it has spread throughout Southeast Asia, becoming a beloved staple in countries like Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Jimmy's Satay Sauce has been produced by Chun On Foods Factory in Hong Kong. It has been recognised by chefs and home cooks as one of the main ingredients for making the popular satay recipes.
Rapeseed Oil, Peanuts (19%), Soy Sauce (Water, Soyabeans, Salt, Wheat Flour, Sugar, Colour: Plain Caramel), Spring Onion, Sugar, Garlic, Curry Powder (Ginger Powder, Spices, Wheat Flour) Chilli Powder, Salt, Shrimp (Crustacean).
May Also Contain Fish.
When used in cooking, Jimmy's Saté Sauce should only be added near the end, when the food is almost ready. Do not overheat this saté sauce in oil.
